Kota Hosted is the fastest way to integrate Kota’s benefits platform into your application. Instead of embedding UI components, you send your users to a fully managed experience hosted on your own custom domain. This approach minimizes integration effort while providing a fully branded, compliant benefits journey for your employees.

With Kota Hosted, you can launch in as little as a few days to 1 month, depending on your internal systems and requirements.

Kota Hosted currently supports employee flows only. Employer setup and management flows are coming in early 2026.

Minimum requirements for an integration

Server-side implementation:

  1. Authenticate with Kota
  2. Integrate the necessary APIs calls to your platform
  3. Configure webhooks to handle Events
  4. Communicate required actions with Employers and their Employees

Frontend implementation:

  1. Call your backend to request a Hosted session link for your employee
  2. Send users to the hosted session using the generated link
  3. (Optional) Configure your custom branding and theme with Kota

Advanced use-cases

Contribution Reports

Relevant for platforms involved in payroll. e.g. Payroll platforms, Employer of Record platforms and Enterprise Employers

Employers will always have access to their insurance carrier and should be able to retrieve invoices and cost reports from them directly, however, this is a very tedious manual process and for large and/or wide organisations this may be unsustainable - Kota’s contribution reports allow your system to programmatically handle complex contributions across tens of countries to enable scalable payroll systems, great reporting and get away from messy end of year benefit reconciliations.

Large platforms or employers with an interest in consuming benefit contribution reports should integrate with our Contribution Reports API - learn more by reading our Contribution Reports documentation or API reference.

Estimated implementation time: 1-2 weeks, depending on the complexity of your payroll system and how you handle adjustments and pro-rated amounts.
